Up for sale is this 2001 Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear Super Exceed with 180,000 km—roughly 111,800 miles. This Delica belongs to our good friend Rick, better known as @hakogtx. He is the founder behind Sonkei Blue, including @teamsonkeiblue, @sonkeibluesocial, and @the.legacy.garage. Rick bought the van from a dealer in Japan, and we handled bringing it over to the States. Now it’s time for it to find a new home. If you already know Delicas, you get it. They’re big, boxy, extremely useful, and just weird enough to be fun. This one is a Super Exceed, so you get the good stuff: the Crystal Lite roof, second-row captain’s chairs, three rows of seating, plenty of room, and that unmistakable Japanese adventure-van feel. It’s powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.8-liter intercooled turbo-diesel and has an automatic transmission with selectable four-wheel drive. Whether you want something for road trips, camping, hauling friends around, or just cruising in something you don’t see every day, this Delica checks a lot of boxes. It’s spacious, comfortable, and still presents well for its age. The captain’s chairs and rear bench give you a flexible layout, and the Crystal Lite roof makes the whole cabin feel even more open. It also may be the coolest feature of this Delica! We also want to be straightforward about the condition. This isn’t a freshly restored or showroom-perfect van. It has some exterior scuffs, scratches, and paint imperfections from normal use over the years, all of which are shown in the photos. There is also some visible wear on the rear corner-mirror arm. The radio currently does not work. We’d rather point that stuff out up front than dress the van up as something it isn’t.
