1998 Toyota Altezza

The Icon. The legend. The Altezza! Badged as the Lexus IS200/300 in the US, the Toyota Altezza was one of Toyota’s smallest sports cars but was not one to be tamed. The US didn’t get a hand on these tough machines until the early 2000s, and we have one of the first iterations to be rolled out of Japan from the late 90s. This Altezza is just so fun to drive and makes us smile every time we get behind wheel of this machine. Engine/Driveline– This vehicle includes the 1G-FE Inline 6 Engine (2.0L). This is a solid Toyota engine platform and was offered on many Toyota models, including the Toyota Chaser, Toyota Crown, and Lexus IS200. The engine has 160,313 miles on the clock and has been well taken care of in Japan. The engine is mated to a 4-Speed automatic transmission (RWD) and shifts through each gear smoothly with no issues. Exterior- The paint is original and has a few nicks and blemishes. The panels are intact and are in good shape. The side mirrors work as they should, and the taillights/headlights are in great working order. The Factory Rain Guards/Visors are all OEM and intact. The wheels are also original on this Altezza! The suspension is OEM and the exhaust system is OEM. Interior – This vehicle comes equipped with cloth seats, adjustable seatbelts, power locks/windows, keyless entry, SRS airbags, aftermarket sound system w/remote, power mirrors that work, and all the gauges, including mini gauges, work in proper order. AC blows cold and heat works as it should. This one even comes with the classic OEM chrome metal ball shifter! It’s the small things folks….. Service Work – Our service team went to work on this JDM gem and changed the oil and oil filter, new spark plugs, new ignition coils, new front/rear rotors + pads, new air filter, new timing belt, cam seals, new water pump, new battery, and 4 brand -new Falken tires & tire alignment.
