The Nissan Stagea 25X is a rear wheel drive sport wagon that was sold exclusively in Japan from 1996-2001. It was built to be a direct competitor to the Subaru Legacy wagon and further bolstered the dominance of Japanese car manufacturers in the sports wagon category. An exceptional combination of a sports wagon and a luxury vehicle this WGC34 is powered by the inline six RB25DE and mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission.
Featuring power windows, power folding and adjustable mirrors, power dual sunroofs, power locks, climate control, front and rear pop out cup holders and oem Stagea floor mats, power drivers seat, privacy tint, privacy cover and factory cargo net. The rear cargo area is very spacious as is but you also can fold the rear seats completely down flat if you need more cargo space.
The Nissan Stagea was largely built on the Nissan Skyline R33 platform and shares most of the same components as the R33 sedan. Although mechanically similar to the R33 it is distinctly different and has it’s own unique body style. One of Japan’s best kept secrets, the Stagea was never offered for sale in the United States and it never received the same mainstream attention as other more well known models like the Nissan Skyline. Now that the Stagea is eligible for import to the USA it’s popularity has skyrocketed and the secret is out about how much this sporty wagon has to offer.
This particular example is a mostly stock example, with the addition of the 18″ Rizley VS wheels being the most notable modification.
