These Stagea’s are one of Nissan’s most underrated vehicles, yet one of the most reliable and versatile vehicles that they made in the 90s. This model sports the RB25DE NEO, used in the R34’s naturally aspirated models, and is paired to Nissan’s Tiptronic 4 speed Automatic transmission. The Multi-Link Suspension was an engineering feat applied to the Stagea from the R34, giving this wagon incredible handling and capability.
On the exterior, one of the biggest changes is the front end. The 1998 model year featured the new Series 2 styling; overall a minor revision, but changed a lot in terms of the exterior of this example. Most notably, the headlight shape was changed, and separated the high and low beams, moving the highs to the grille. The indicators also received a minor change in shape, and were made clear. Body moldings were color matched, and the front aero was slightly redesigned. Found in the attention grabbing factory EV1 Lightning Yellow, the Series 2 was the first Stagea that offered this color, and this particular model is one of only 145 units produced in the 25RS trim, making this combination considerably rare!
Interior features include power windows, power folding and adjusting mirrors, adjustable height low beams, Carrozzeria head unit, front cup holders, cold A/C, hot heat, rear privacy tint, and the factory Tiptronic controls located on the steering wheel. The interior is devoid of any major imperfections, with clean seats that have no tears and great bolster. All interior plastics are without cracks or gouges, and the dash has no signs of lifting.
This Stagea 25RS is a true unicorn find, and with under 60,000 verified miles, another example like this will be next to impossible to find again. Whether you want to steal the show at your local car meet, or have the cleanest grocery getter around, this Stagea is up to the task.
