The SiR S Spec is one of the most desirable factory versions of the fifth-generation Prelude. Honda introduced the grade in late 1998 by combining the high-output 220 PS H22A 2.2L DOHC VTEC engine from the Prelude Type S with a 5-speed manual transmission and factory limited-slip differential. Unlike the Type S, which used Honda's ATTS system, the SiR S Spec received a conventional mechanical LSD — a particularly attractive setup for enthusiasts who want the high-output H22A with a simpler, more traditional drivetrain.
