1997 Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA

You are looking at probably the nicest almost all original Japanese market 1997 WRX type RA in the western hemisphere! I imported this WRX last year, it has a Wisconsin Title and is 100% exempt from all Fed and State emissions. I have all import and legalization paperwork. Original 64,000kilometers. That's 40,080 miles only. One Japanese owner. One USA owner(me). Vehicle is 99% stock with no mods to engine or suspension. The only mods on the WRX are: Ultra high end Pioneer AVID receiver, GPS, Radar detector and upgraded speakers along with an external Tachometer. A Pro-Drive body kit and wing were added by original Japanese owner. It is wearing original WRX wheels and new ZR tires I put on earlier this year. Oil change done in April of this year. This is the much rarer TYPE RA WRX not the regular STi. Factory Subaru upgrades internally, APEX'i STi exhaust with Japanese certificate. And it has to run on 100 octane stock! This is also much lighter than the STi version. No sound deadening and other weight saving features! This WRX is only 2625lbs stock from the factory! Another Japan upgrade is the "Ballerina" shift kit. The shift kit has it's own hangtag and is #157. I imported a mint stock '98 WRX STi last year with the type RA and the Type RA is noticeably faster and has a stunning exhaust note that has to be heard! I will be adding videos and more pics. Another interesting feature of the car is that while most Type RA's do NOT have A/C or power windows. This car has both and they work perfectly. That's right, a Type RA with A/C and power windows! The WRX is NOT being driven daily. It is in my garage and is only driven on nice days 2 or 3 times a month. It is an absolute joy to drive every single time and gets massive attention everywhere it does :-) Updates done in 2024: Oil and filter New battery New ZR rated tires Timing belt done recently in Japan prior to import Cons: Brakes and rotors are 25%-30% Few paint scratches and chips(tiny). The paint is original. NOT repainted. The AVID stereo screen is slow to pull out and is in Japanese. However everything works audio, GPS, radar detector and phone.
