The Honda Odyssey is a minivan that needs no introduction. A household name in the USA and well recognized the world over for it’s reliability and practicality, the Prestige VG model was a luxurious variant of the RA5 Odyssey minivan, offering a higher level of features and comfort. It was powered by a VG series J30A V6 engine, which provided a great balance of performance and smooth power delivery for a vehicle of its size.
This first generation Odyssey introduced features to the market that were uncommonly, or never before seen. The interior had a spacious cabin, and the placement of the shifter on the steering console as opposed to the floor mounted shifter meant for an even larger looking and feeling cabin. The large windshield and windows all around the vehicle give an astonishing amount of visibility as you can nearly see all of your surroundings. Most notably, this first generation Odyssey introduced the stow-away rearmost seats, which fold completely flat into the rear cabins floor. Additionally, the middle row seats can be folded forwards to produce an incredible amount of storage space for any need. The interior is devoid of any major imperfections like stains, cuts, or cracks in the plastics.
Though it is a van, the Odyssey features a few exterior items that make it stand out. The large front windshield offers opposing windshield wipers that leave a much smaller and less noticeable amount of rain when used. All four windows have rain guards as well to allow for the windows to be left down in a drizzle. The most notable exterior feature is that of the 4 doors utilized instead of a slider, which leaves much more room for the comfort of passengers. The rear hatch paired with the large rear cargo area makes this example very usable for a primary work vehicle, daily driver, or collecting the kids from soccer practice.
Finding USDM examples in this standard of condition and with this low of miles is next to impossible. With a classic exterior, a feature laden interior, and the reliability behind Honda’s name, this is a van that is ready for any task.
